The term delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or delta-9-THC refers to the main cannabinoid found in cannabis, known as Δ 9 -Tetrahydrocannabinol or Δ 9 -THC.

Delta-9-THC is the more prominent of the two cannabinoids, and is the one that changes to cannabidiol when it is administered as a drug. When it is administered, it can be as high as 30% delta-9-THC, or sometimes less than 10%.

When it is used in its powder form, it can be mixed with other substances and put into products, or you can consume it itself.

Find the perfect fit

Finding the right sativa dominant cannabis strain for you can be shaped by a large number of factors. These include: your intended use, whether you want a daytime or nighttime high, whether you like strong or milder flavors, and how quickly you’ll get used to it.

For example, people who like the flavor of melons tend to prefer the Modernday SilverStar ® , which has a light lemon flavor and is nicknamed “watermelon” because of its resemblance. Some people may also enjoy more spice levels in their cannabis, so some strains may be created with a spicier material.

Popular sativa-dominant strains

Despite being a relatively new breed of cannabis plant, the mongold gene has been present in modern cannabis strains since the 1970s. The mongold is a copy of the golden gene that was introduced through a breeding program to increase gold content in marijuana.

The mongold was created by combining two other genes: red and haWitnessed in earlier generations of plants. This glazed appearance is why it is sometimes called red potnacaine or red snakeroot. These genes create a slower growth rate, more compact shape, and less post-growth variability in potency and enjoyment.

Because of this reduced variability, mongolds are more commonly sold via sealed container format than open-mouth style packaging. This can be hard or even safety to do if you do not have an open-mouth style package!

This is where sativa-dominant strains come into play. Due to their haWitnessed genetics, these sealed containers are shipped on open-top trucks which allow for greater variance in potency and quality.

Great for daytime use

While not as dark as night, the wave of California sativa-dominant cannabis strains is very daytime. This is because of the popularity of marijuana in general at work and during work.

Likely due to this popularity, there has been more demand for this cannabis than usual. Normally, people would only use one strain per plant, so having multiple plants is helpful.

This has also increased the number of crossing genes into the plant, making it look more like a wave than a singleplant. People have even gone as far as selling companion plants on eBay!

Both growers and owners are taking advantage of this wave to expand their businesses. Although only one plant can be used for medicinal purposes, both business expansion and social interaction are still valuable.

Sativas can make you feel energetic and even euphoric

The term sativa refers to a specific cannabinoid system in cannabis plants. In terms of genetics, sativas are categorized as cannabinoid rich plants that show increased development during its early stages before expanding and developing into a shrub or small tree.

In terms of genetics, sativas can be bred to have particular cannabinoid levels in their plants, or they can be created by combinations of cannabinoids that have been introduced into a plant.

The word pronounced SAY-teesa is the latin word for seed, because when it grows and sprouts, it can produce more seeds. This is true of cannabis plants, which can produce more THC or THCcontent when they grow tall enough.

Some strains are specifically bred to have certain levels of cannabinoids in their plants, which creates an ocean of color on a plant surface.

Know the risks

While there are many benefits to mashing up or “ingredioning” various cannabis crops, this process is not for the inexperienced user.

As a general rule, you do not mix oil and water. Even if you did, the oil would still be liquid and harmful before it dripped onto something else.

So it is with cannabis: even when using the most sophisticated methods of combining strains, there is always a risk of contamination or “ingredionment”. This can either make your weed less potent or cause unexpected effects to disappear!

Some ingridients can even be dangerous in their own right! For example, monounsaturated fats can be harmful if consumed without other materials. Or certain herbs can contain chemicals that are dangerous when combined with others.

Make sure your marijuana is tested

There are several ways to test your marijuana for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or delta-9-THC for short), the main psychoactive compound in marijuana.

Some labs evaluate samples by cutting a sample down to one inch and testing that with an instrument called a chromatography purity analysis device (CPAD). Other labs use liquid chromatograph devices to test samples.

Liquid chromatograph devices require you to cap and charge the device before using, so make sure you have a good safety reserve of liquid before trying this out. By measuring Delta-9-THC in water or rehydrated plant material, it is very possible to have a direct method of testing.

Because of this, some lab owners now offer Delta-9-THC testing services.

Know your limits

It’s important to know the boundaries of a cannabis strain, especially when it comes to consuming. Many people have found success with a particular strain but not enough to justify the cost of a new one.

Many strains are overpriced, having received more revenue from the market than quality. A cheap strain may work fine but could be less potent than a more expensive one that is better quality.

It is important to know what points of exhaustion your body needs to achieve the same effects as the more expensive strain, or if one is better suited for the other.

Combining sativas with other strains or substances can have different effects

As the term suggests, combining two or more strains or substances creates a new effect or fingerprint.

Some of these patterns are noted and/or detectable, while others are not. For instance, a mixture of sativas with indica strains may result in an effects that is noticeable, but not necessarily fun and/or easy to enjoy.

Other times, a combination can yield a more relaxed, less intense experience than either strain alone. Because of this, some combine experts at what they do. For example, an intermediate might decide that mixing sativas with indicas resulted in an experience that was lighter and easier to manage.
